HP xw8400 CPU support

Hi, I've got a xw8400 workstation. HP quick specs recommend the xeon 53xx series up to E5365 for quad core assembling. Does the board support the E54xx series too?

The chipset does support the Intel® Xeon® e5400 series processors. Now I dont know if HP limited their board to the Intel Xeon E5300s and earlier but you can check the updated bios for the board to see they did.

if I understand the problem, the Intel 5000 chipset supports the e54xx series (excluding FSB 1600), but the processors (e5450 for instance) are not listed in the BIOS microcode. Is there a possibility to hack it? I need the 12 MB cache for better render performance.
