I have made my selection but its somehow over budget...(btw our currency here is in RM) and hardware components here are a bit overpriced.

My selected components:
CPU: i5-3570k (RM760/$250)
GPU: Sapphire HD7850 1Gb (RM586/$191)
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-Z77M-D3H (RM325/$107)
RAM: Corsair RAM 4gbx2 1600 (RM182/$60 )
HDD: WD 500gb 7200rpm (RM179/$59 )
PSU: XIGMATEK (600W) VC (RM219/$72 )
CASE: Thermaltake V3 (RM128/$42 )
DIS: ViewSonic VA2238wm-LED (RM415/$137) (it comes with speakers!)

Total adds up to RM2788/$918

it seems way too over budget, since then, i thought of going with an i3(dual core again?!) or AMD but all the rumors got the better of me...

Anyway to cut this down? i wanted to play the games at max settings around 50-60fps.... and i dont think i will get another desktop like for 5 years or so~~ so the i5 k series OC is kinda for future proof....

Games i am playing right now: League of legends, Dota2, some ps2 games and some 3D games that i switch here and there often after finding its boring...

I might not play intensive games right now but i would try them if i can get a desktop with good spec... i only have my laptop wif me now... and i don't think it is able to take on serious gaming...

7850 is fine for the resolution but will struggle at max settings with a few games
go with a corsair psu they are better
if u want to lower the cost the only way will be either to get a locked i5 or a amd processor
like fx 8320 or fx 6300 they are not as good as i5-3570k but they will do good if paired with a good gpu

If i went for an AMD processor, what GPU will u suggest? and thx for the reply~~
does an AMD phenom II x4 965 black edition worth it? cause the bulldozer series ain't what i have been expecting from AMD..

*edit: just found out that fx 6300 is using piledriver instead of bulldozer.... might consider it ^^

fx 6300 is also a good budget pick
Asrock 970 Extreme3 if you need to keep the budget strictly under 100$ for the mobo. If you can pay 105 bucks then go with the Gigabyte ga-970a-ud3
what graphic card r u picking

Its a pain in the neck for the AMD mobos here, the variety of intel to amd mobos are on the ratio of 6:1, that does not leave much choice for me, and the mobo they are selling have much problems in either OC support or bios version. Btw both the Mobo u stated are not found within our local stores(according to thier price list)...but i will keep an eye out for them...

As for the GPU.... i will probably stick with an hd 7850 or GTX650 Ti boost (if i happen to find one, its so rare here) since i don't think my budget allows more space, i forget to count in the cooler as part of the budget....

Yes, if my dad is going to change his old pc, i maybe able to rip some useful parts such as the case and hdd from it... his pc is really old, other than those 2 i doubt that other parts would be useful...so i might be able to have money to get an ssd.

so basically to ans your questions:
pci slot : two or more ( for cross fire ?maybe in future ? )
Usb 3.0 : Not necessarily, but will gladly pay for it...
ssd : yes if possible to get my hands on one!
RAM slot : 2 , (4 is ok, who knows one day 16gb will be all the rage)

Thx for your advise and tips, i will go for another hunt ^^

*edit: i was able to find an asrock 970 extreme 3 on a local online mall (but it is still in a different city), but since i never bought anything from there before... i wasn't sure to buy from them... they dont even have customer reviews on products....

Did a run to a local store, met my friend working there, checked the stock, asked his opinion, his reply : AMD series does not work too good in my country where temperature and humidity is very high ( average afternoon temp can reach 32 C ) , so intel probably works better in most cases and it was concluded according to the feedbacks from his customers.... furthermore, due to this reason, their shop even decrease the stock of AMD processors and MOBOs, all was left was an Fx-6300 and no AMD mobo... he said the price list i obtained was released by the main branch shop and the stock differs a bit.... and worst of all!!! i just missed the GTX650 Ti boost direct CU II OC, last stock sold out 2 days ago!!
