why has all my dvd software stopped working?

a couple of months ago my dvd burning software stopped working. i was using nero 7, power dvd and the built in software. none of it worked so i deleated the upper lower filter keys and everything worked perfectly for 2 months. now im having the same problem. what else can i try? The filters are not back in place, do i just put them back manualy?

Did you check to see if the filters were put back in place. You may need to remove them again.

I didn't say to put the filters back. I said to remove them if they were somehow put back. Your cd burner may have gone bad. If you have a spare, try swapping them out.

oh yeah, sorry bud. i thought they were away but went and checked again and right enough the upper filter was back again. i removed it but i still cant burn a dvd. im using nero and power dvd, doesnt even work on the built in dvd maker. any more suggestions?
