Are these graphics integrated?

"Discrete-class" is a general marketing term AMD uses for their integrated graphics core. I suppose it was true when AMD initially integrated the graphics core in the CPU, but now, it is kinda meaningless. While integrated graphics have become more powerful the past few years, so has discrete graphics.

The AMD Dual-Core E2-1800 CPU is a dog. The integrated AMD Radeon HD 7340 "Discrete-Class" graphics provides much less performance than Intel's HD 4000 integrated graphics core.

If you are going to buy a laptop for games with an AMD APU, then get an A4, A6 or A8 series APU. "APU" is a marketing term AMD came up with for a CPU with integrated graphics. Intel simply calls them CPUs.

The Intel HD 4000 is basically about equal to the integrated Radeon HD 7640G graphics core. It wins / loses about half of the game benchmarks. Only the Radeon HD 7620G and HD 7660D are definitively more powerful than the Intel HD 4000. The Radeon HD 7620G is more powerful than the Radeon HD 7640G; that is not a typo.

The HD 7620G has more pipelines, but lower clockspeed. THe HD 7640 has fewer pipelines, but higher clockspeed. In the end, more pipelines win.
