I want to use my 60inch tv as a gaming monitor using my pc to play games and use a xbox 360 controller to play it from on the couch.

I read up saying the pc input allows maximum resolution of 1600x1200 this is a vga cord.

My 680gtx has a hdmi port on it. If i were to plug a HDMI cord from the video card to the tv will it allow the resolution of 1920x1080 or will i still be stuck at 1600x1200?

Thank you,
Brendon

It will look a hell of allot better than a PS3. Textures and colors and contrast just pop real nice and look much better on a quality TV set than they do on most monitors I have seen and used.
