Dynamic IP Into Static?

Hai, My ISP (BSNL India) Assigned Dynamic IP address to my internet connection. Can i change that into a static IP? If no, can i Enable Wake On Lan With dynamic IP?

You can't change it to a static IP address, but your ISP may be willing to charge you for a static IP address. If you can get wake-on-lan to work with an URL instead of an IP address then you should be able to get wake-on-lan to work with a dynamic IP address. This would require you to get a DDNS account from somewhere like DynDNS.com. Your router will need to support DDNS also. This will allow you to have an address like "http://www.shamnaz.com". Then if possible, set the WOL to use the web address instead of the IP address.

Check your router manual or login to your router's admin page and look for it.
