8 cores are unnecessary at this point in time (for gaming and most everything else.)
I'd disable 4 cores - giving you massive leeway for overclocking. You should at least disable 2.

It depends on your cooling system, you really just have to find out through testing.

Remember to go in increments, and don't mess with your voltage much, and keep an eye on temps. I'd say anything below 55c is fine.

Just OC a bit, run a game, look at temps, and run prime 95. If it's all good, go a little higher, do that until you become unstable, the go backwards in small steps until stable again under prime 95.

For that particular CPU, get some arctic silver 5 & a nice fan cooler.
