So I have looked through several threads in here and figured that I want to overclock my CPU to 3.0 GHz. I have a Xeon X3220 (basically a Q6600 equivalent) with a base clock of 2.4 GHz. I checked everything afterwards; CPU temps and all. They I noticed something when I was playing Skyrim. Everything is moving faster! :pt1cable: I tried playing other games (DmC: Devil May Cry among others) and the same problem persisted. I also tried watching movies and the dialogues lag behind the scenes. :pfff: What could be causing this weird occurrence? :??:

Hi from my understanding a GPU can be more dependent than a CPU in some games so if your GPU hasn't got enough power for a game that requires alot of CPU it can bring the games FPS down and vice versa. So pretty much if a game requires a high amount of GPU your CPU could do nothing to a minimal amount.
Hope this helps first time I've done this.
