My specs :

Q6600 currently @ 2.6 Ghz FSB @ 289 MHz
2 GB Kingston RAM 667 Mhz DDR2 currently at 722 Mhz 5-5-5-15
AsRock G31M-VS2 Motherboard
Corsair CX 500
XFX ATI Radeon 4850 1 GB DDR3 @ 700 MHz core / 1050 Mem
Western digital 250 GB Caviar Blue HDD

I cant change core voltage on my mobo , it only allowes Dram voltage , NB voltage and VTT voltage . Vcore is 1.24 . Neither can i change FSB : DRAM ratio.

anyathing past 291 FSB , win doesnt boot / crashes.

I hear a lot potential about q6600 to go as high as 3.0 GHz. My 4850 gets bottlenecked at battlefield 3 coz of the cpu , help.

probably a motherboard limitation. if you cant change vcore of the cpu then you are pretty much stuck. Im pretty sure if you upgraded your ram to 4-8gb you would see a noticeable improvement in smoothness, 2gb is not enough for that game.
