Worth upgrading graphics card ??

Hi guys...

I'm in a low budget right now, and I wanted to know if upgrading my current 9800GTX+ to an GTX650 is a good idea.

I was able to get the Asus sabertooth with the FX-4170 and two corsair sticks...

To give really helpful advice we'll need to know: Monitor resolution and the power supply details but even without that information I'd say it's not a large enough jump to justify the cost:

Save your money, wait until you can get a decent upgrade.

What games are you playing? But yes it is an upgrade but not veeeery big one.

That was fast...

Thanks for your responses, but the whole idea behind the "upgrade" is a bit complicated.

It all start with the need of having 3 screens. I'm a music producer and use different partitions for recording and gaming.

My 9800 only have two DVI outputs (as the majority if cards) and in order to run 3 monitors a second card is needed... so, I found a very old 6600GT buried in my closet and installed it.

Everything was fine until recently I discovered that the new nvidia drivers don't support the old one, so i'm stuck in 307.83.

In the "music" partition, that's no problem, but in the "gaming" one, you know...

So, "upgrading" is only to be able to run the current drivers on both cards... for working the extra screen.

Besides... my power supply... (I can't believe either) only runs 500 wtts.

The maximum resolution of my screen is: 1680X1050.
