CPU & Motherboard question

Ok I have the ASUS M2NPV-VM and AMD Phenom II 945 (HDX945WFK4DGM) I have done the bios update to the board but when I install the cpu in the board the system turns on runs for around 10Sec and powers down then when I put the older cpu back in it boots right up no issue. Just need to pool some thoughts on what to try to get it to run.

With the old processor in, reset the bios then power down and swap the cpu to the new one. You may have had an overclock or other settings that didn't work welll with the 945.

Ok been trying a few things and no go so going to wait for the AM3+ motherboard to get here and all see if its just the mother board or if the cpu has issue.

New motherboard has fixed the issue now up and running
