I am going to build my watercooling rig, and I need 2 items. I want to sli two gtx 680's, and water cool them. I don't know which 680 will benefit from them the most, so I need your help. I also need a full cover block for whichever 680 you recommend. I want to have a boost clock of at least 1100 MHz. Space is not an issue, but the budget has to be under $530 for each card. The waterblock budget is around $120. I am planning to build it within 2 months. By the way, I only have the TJ-11 right now. I'm am going to buy the rest of the parts within 2 months... Here are my specs.

Computer Specs:

CPU: 3930k, water cooled

Motherboard: Rampage IV Extreme

Ram: 16 gb 4x4gb Hyperx Beast

Psu: Ocz Fatality 1000w

Case: Silverstone TJ-11 (this is the reason why spaceis not an issue.)

Watercooling parts:

CPU block: Swiftech Apogee HD

Radiator: 1 360x80mm thick Alphacool Monsta, another 120 is needed, which will be an Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 120x60mm thick

Pump: 1x Swiftech MCP655 Variable Speed with G1/4 threads

Reservoir: Swiftech MCRES Micro Rev2

Tubing: 10ft PrimoChill PrimoFlex ID: 1/2" OD: 3/4"

Compression fittings: 10x EK Perfect Seal

Fans: 3 or 4 Silverstone AP121 in pull.

Another question, will the 80mm thick rad fit in the basement with the Ap121's, and the psu? I want to keep the drive cages for my WD Black. If I need to remove it, will there be a way to safely mount it on the case? The case came with the drive mounts to mount (Either 3.5, or 2.5 inch drives, I don't know) on the side of the 5.25" bays. Please answer this, and give me recommendations on what parts to pick.

hey,

You could go for two Evga gtx680's, as they have a reference PCB and that means they should be compatible with a variety of full cover blocks from companies like EK. Also Evga has great customer support. EK has some very nice water blocks for those cards. Also 1100mhz under load should be very easy to achieve, however your results may vary as every chip is different. If you want a graphics card that can be overvolted I suggest looking at the MSI Lightning Edition of the gtx680, however it may be harder to find a water block for those.

Also if you want to save a bit you could go with two gtx670's as performance wise they are within 5-10% of a gtx680 and they are $100 cheaper. When overclocked the gtx670 can match the gtx 680.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! I might be waiting for the GeForce GTX 7xx series, in order to pay some of my bills...

No problem :)

If you can wait for the gtx700's then do wait. It is rumored that the gtx 780 may be a cut down version of the titan, whether this is true who knows, but it still might be worth waiting.

I have a question. WHat is the most secure way to mount a 480x80mm rad on the bottom of the Silverstone TJ-11? I will be using the Silverstone AP121 fans in pull. I heard that you can use velcro, and attach the velcro to the case, but I dont want to leave any residue on the $600 case. If there are brackets, can you link some of them to me? I would like the brackets to be close to matte black, or just plain out black is okay too. Also, no one has answered my question about the radiator compatibility with the psu.
