Hello

I am stuck with the sli and crossfire technology.

1. Does the sli and crossfire supported graphic cards works best in multi monitor setup only ???

2. Right now I have 21.5 inch monitor and i want to upgrade the CPU with high end graphics. I am thinking of below configuration...

MSI Z77A-GD65 Motherboard
Intel Core i7 3770k 3.5 GHz LGA 1155
AMD 7870 ghz edition
16 GB Ram

confusion to buy amd 7870 or nvidia 670 which is best ?

3. If i connect multi gpus of the above graphic cards..... will they improve the gaming performance on single monitor or should i buy another monitor to get the best ??

1. Crossfire has problems. SLI is better if you want dual cards. For multi monitor (specifically triple monitor) gaming, AMD cards are generally better.

2. Your config will work fine although you don't have to spend so much on an i7. The i5-3570k is much cheaper and will play all games without problem. The 670 is definitely better than the 7870 Ghz.

3. Dual GPU will definitely improve gaming performance, regardless of how many monitors you run as long as the game is displayed on only one of them. If you get a higher resolution (resolution, not size) monitor you will naturally get lower framerates.
