Hello , today my PSU fan started making strange mechanical noise while in vertical position, but if I put it in horizontal position - that annoying sound stops .

That sound starts after few seconds of turning the computer on .

I checked every fan my PC has and it is definitely the PSU fan .

I tried to tighten the screws that hold the fan, but it didn't help .

My PSU is "CODEGEN 400W" .

My question :
Any thoughts on how to fix it/what should I try to do? I have no spare money to buy a new one (humble student) and I would prefer my PC to be in vertical position.

I can provide photos of my Motherboard/PSU and I can upload the sound that PSU makes if needed .

You could replace the fan if you know what you're doing. Can't you find another cheap PSU?
