Well i stumblet onto this in a random google search and i asked myself dafaq is going on here :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOENTgy7z5c

and

http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1800...

if i see correctly they use a 13.1 and 13.2 (beta) driver, it appers to be legit -.-

what do you think about that ? (i know its different architecture on both gpus the 7660 and the 7750, thats what confuses me i know that it should not work together)

i would say that its just a glitch in the driver becouse of the new 6800k that maybe would work with a 7750, but why do we see performance incresse in the tests ? or is it just somehow fake :)

tnx

or has somebody the necessary hardware to test this theory ? :)

More about : amd a10 5800k 7750 dual graphics interesting question

(First I didn't open the links for safety of my very own computer) But, I'm about 90% sure the 7660 is just a 6770 or something like that was renamed. It happens a lot in low tier cards every generation. That explains the architecture differences between the HD 7770 and 7660 :)

am a10-5800k overlocked with 2400mhz ram will be provide about 70-80% the gaming power of a 7750. there really is no point to pair a gpu with an apu unless you already own the apu and need more power. for the money you can get an fx based processor, 1600mhz ram and a 7770 that is the same price or a little less than the 5800k, 2400mhz ram and 7750 and the gaming performance will be almost double.

i'm not saying that i will buy that, i'm just asking if it is possible couse there is nowhere to be seen a support for dual graphics with 7750 and its not logical to work cause the different gpu's (7660 = no GCN architecture, 7750= GCN), only a couple of verifications on 3dmark's site and this youtube video, that 2 has nothing to do with what i was asking :D

I'm happy to report that I'm doing it right now. I originally started tinkering so i could run VirtuMVP, then after enabling dual graphics in my bios I got curious when I saw my screen flashing like I was installing new drivers. Pulled up catalyst, and the dual graphics option was there. Turned it on and managed to pull about 50 fps in Borderlands 2 at 1080p. Very easy 60 in L4D2 with everything maxed out.

thank you for actually being a guy willing to answer instead of people who just flame and complain about links. As to the build itself i think with the a10 most of the work is the gpu, probably just like a 10% increase from the apu at best, but the important part of this is that this means that the richland apu coming out in june will be able to do the same, at a much better performance... maybe even crossfire with the 7770. overclock the apu and the igpu a bit and you have the best option for a budget high end gaming build

tnx verry verry much man ! i cant belive someone actualy answered the question :)  did you maybe try BF3 or Crysis 3 ? i run it on my iGPU a10 full hd and mixed settings (well 50:50 low/mid) smoothly @4.6ghz cpu and 1100mhz igpu @ram 2133 , well... if you maybe tinkered with all that did you try the 6670 too ? is it a good jump in dual graphics with the 7750? and what card did you pair it with/what mobo do you have ? tnx bro :D  i waited day's for an answer that actualy has something to do with what i was asking :)  TNX

Unfortunately, I don't have Crysis 3 or BF3 (Don't have much time for gaming between school and work). I haven't tried it with a 6670 either (Don't have one). I can say it's a pretty good jump. I'll post my full specs this weekend and see if maybe I can give Passmark and Furmark results.

tnx :)  hope you will have time
May 3, 2013 6:13:15 AM

I've got a little time, so I'll post my current setup:
CPU: AMD A10-5800k
MOBO: ASRock FM2A75M-ITX (Latest BIOS Revision as of today)
RAM: 8 GB G-Skill DDR3 2133MHz underclocked to 1866 MHz 11-11-11-27 1T
GPU: AMD Radeon 7660D (1 GB) + Sapphire AMD Radeon 7750 (1 GB) Low-Profile (100357LP) Catalyst Control Center Driver revision 13.4
PSU: SeaSonic SS-350TGM 350W TFX12V 80 PLUS GOLD
Case: IN WIN BP655.300TB3L
SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB
Optical Drive: LG Blu-ray Combo Drive Model UH12NS29
OS: Microsoft Windows 8 Pro 64-Bit + Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS

As you can probably guess, not a lot of room for cooling in there XD
As such don't expect any overclock results until I can mod the case for a side-mounted external radiator.

huh , thats nice, is the mobo ok ? i tought thous a75 itx asrock boards fail a lot

hope you will post some 3d mark scores :)  tnx bro

Hi, same here... i just watched the video on youtube just couple weeks ago and found that thread also at the same day (day when I browse them)

but as I digging and finding, I found that since Catalyst 13.1 and up is makes every AMD APU A10 can be dual-graphics with HD7750 even different architecture... but as I thinking further, maybe, my prediction that the reason is AMD want to discontinued HD66XX series and below. so they seems wanna try to release these hidden "update" on catalyst, and makes people who loves tinkering around, to try dual-graphic with HD7750 (which lowest class of GCN)... and viola!!! if able to do it, and had performance that further than with 6670 and it's look really nice, people will be amazed and HD7750 will be "directly" replace HD6670 for dual-graphic option.

because there is no reason that they able to paired a HD7660D with HD7750 together and able played those games. maybe they found alternative how pairing different architecture within software environment, like VirtuMP which able use iGPU and Discrete GPU together on application/windows level. unfortunately, we hardly find further article about it right now and seems everybody didn't like to do dual-graphic due little performance impact and huge micro-stuttering that leave Dual-Graphic system as "FAILED FEATURE", but that time the catalyst driver for dual graphic is still not mature as now. but now the catalyst version is 13.4 (and 13.6 beta), it sure take allot difference for the performance on dual graphic.

but if really able to do officially benchmark, maybe someone (please), makes detail review about it... and I have a prediction, if AMD APU Richland (A10 Quad core Elite they said) is already on sale, maybe they (AMD) will make official state about the dual graphic feature, that HD7750 and HD7770 series is able dual graphic with trinity A10, while A10 richland able to do dual-graphic with all HD77XX series card. and hope so it's will be able we heard it when AMD is ready to shipping Richland Desktop APU...

I am from Argentina and new to the forum. excuse my English .. I have APU A10 5800 and HD 7750. is pretty good. solamte buy an APU for the price, instead of a FX, buy a mother for FX is much more expensive, like buying a FX (("nikoli707")) .. and seen FX x4; FX x6 with HD 7750 .. ye yield is the same as my APU, cost mee35% less ... I tried doing dual graphic with all Catalyst and have not podido.si .. please someone save it tell me .. greetings
