Motherboard/memory compatibilty question

Is there a problem if I replaced all of the memory in a desktop computer - even if it is a different kind?

No, not if you use memory that is compatible with your motherboard. Go to the mfr's website and find your motherboard model. Under support or downloads you can find a list of memory modules that are supported. Some companies call this a QVL (qualified vendor list), while others may simply call it their memory support list. Use the right stuff and you are good to go!
