Overclocking Help/Directions: i5 3570k on Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H

Hi! This is my first time overclocking a CPU, can I get some advice on where to start? I've already got the aftermarket heatsink/fan on it, but i haven't touched any OC settings yet. I was told it would be safe somewhere around 4.0 GHz to 4.4 GHz, is that right? I'm looking to have to have a safe OC that won't stress the CPU too much, just want a little extra strength for the new games. All help/directions would be a great help!
