nvidia desktop manager sli undetection problem

how to sli gtx660 and gtx660ti on asus motherboard m5a99x evor2.0? (in nvidia desktop manager under 3d settings there is no sli option seen although windows detects both gfx cards with no problems)

They won't work together in SLI. The GTX 660 uses the GK106 silicon, and the GTX 660ti uses the GK104. Different GPUs.

Ouuu, i see i was thinking all models having same numbers are compatible
Thanx for your very valuable answer but i have seen videos on youtube SLI gtx460 & gtx 560ti thats why i have inspired a last question: if i want to SLI different vendor cards but same models. Does it affect compability?

Different manufacturer's cards are fine, as long as they have the same GPU. Here is a FAQ that deals with both CF and SLI requirements. You should have all your questions answered by reading it.
