What do you expect from a external Thunderbolt SSD solution? Other choices are just as expensive. We aren't talking about your grandma's USB 2 spinning platter enclosure here.

for 150 USD, I can get a better internal SSD (120 GB) and then simply get an E-sata to sata adapter. (and if your mobo doesn't have e-sata, then get an E-sata 5.25 bay module. 300 USD, tops (factoring 100 for the 5.25 bay bit) and I get better performance.

I mean wheee, thunderbolt. woot.
