So I've been looking into building my first computer. I plan on using it for games mostly and want to run any game on ultra. This is my first computer build and I know almost nothing about computers at all I don't even know what overclocking is but I really want to build one and I have family that can help me build it so I just need to know if these parts will all work together and if u have different recommendations instead of the parts I have chosen. I've chosen most of these parts only off of reviews and forums

Bit of advice on building a new pc. you need to decide what you are going to do with it and what you want to run.

When building a computer you need to choose either an INTEL or AMD Processor. if you have an AMD motherboard you need to purchase an AMD processor, in your parts list you have listed an AMD board and an Intel Processor.
For that board you could go with something like these for a processor
AMD FX-8120 Black Edition, 3.10Ghz, 8MB Cache, 8 Core,125watt
or AMD FX-8320 Black Edition, 3.50Ghz, 8MB Cache, 8 Core,125watt

The ram/graphics/optical drive/sound card/case and power supply look good to me.

You could get a higher speed memory up to 1800-2200mhz based on that motherboards specifications, however 1600mhz should be fine.

The motherboard you listed is fairly limited in my opinion and I would get this one myself ASRock 990FX EXTREME4 Motherboard

Also when building a computer in my personal opinion you do NOT want to put your OS and all your Data on the same drive. As if it fails, you run the risk of losing the lot.
I recommend getting a 120GB Solid State drive or getting a 300-500GB regular hard drive for an operating system and using a 1-4 TB drive for data storage.

So to recap, The motherboard and processor you listed will NOT work together. you must choose an AMD chip and board. or intel chip and board.
And be careful when choosing your operating system drive.

Just my 2 cents
