Should we have a Problems page exclusively

Lots of problems scattered all over the site, should we, could we (would it be better?) to have all the issues with Desktop PC's in one category, another Category for Laptop Problems, so as not to confuse the issues.

Most members are asking the proper Questions about builds and etc in the other categories, I just feel that having to search through so many Categories looking for Problem issues is time consuming and wasteful of my connection fees.

I'm no expert and can only answer a few of them, but I would like to be able to just browse through one category...

Any thoughts or Opinions?

I think we already have a good system for breaking down the issues... CPU's, componets, Overclocking, Motherboards, Memory, System, Storage, Graphics

Those categories are all over the place, most problems are not specifc to any one particular type. If someone is having problems with their video card, it's more likely a PSU problem. One thing leads to another and other things could lead to an OS incompatibility or ram or other components. By having "Problems" in one fixed category, you got them all grouped together, you don't have to go look in 8 different categories.

We do already categorize issues by subject. Do you have an alternative recommendation for forum hierarchy? Always happy to entertain suggestions. :)

"Issues by subject" - where? Is it marked "Issues"?

I suppose it is difficult to categorise anything considering that its the OP that determines where the Question is put and mostly in the wrong Category but I was just thinking that a future category could be opened for "Issues" and subcategories - one for "Hardware Issues" and one for "Software Issues" and one for "OS issues".

The more I think about it the more my head hurts :(

The problem with "issues" is that most software problems are hardware problems and some hardware issues can be software or Os related, and everything else et al...

I was originally thinking that having issues in recommended builds Questions was not such a good idea especially considering sponsors and relationships with manufacturers bu teven with separate Categories, it's the OP that is mostly likely to err in their posting option.

Any thoughts or opinions are still welcome even though the issue will never be resolved satisfactorily (the question could be but not the subject matter).
