Hello, i am looking for an amazing Processor with individual core power, because the game that i want to play only uses up one core, "Medieval 2 Total War" so i need a Cpu that can handle unit limit at max with thousands of troops on the field, even with an i5-2500k CPU it lags when i get over 3,000 troops on the field at once. i am getting an i5-3570 that has 3.40ghz. but i think the AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core with 4.0ghz would be better, but i am unsure weather that means it is overall cpu power or if it means it is the strength of each individual core.

Try overclocking your 2500K before you purchase a new processor.

The i5 3570 is better per clock than the 8350, but if the game can utilize all of the 8350's cores, then the 8350 would be better.

Or a good option would be the i7 3770K. That for sure. You can search also some i5s and some AMDs. But until now (of what I heard) the best CPU is i7 3770K.

i7 3970X

And that's not counting the Xeon E7-8870.
