Hello All,
I am seeking advice on purchasing a video card.
With the help of the forums I assembled a computer last fall and am using the onboard graphics of the i5-3570K on a Z77 Extreme 4 at the moment. I am no longer a "gamer" but plan on purchasing Skyrim when the legendary edition is released in June and picking up 1-2 titles per year thereafter. I also dabble in the photo/design programs in the Adobe Master Collection and occasionally stream movies or watch dvds.
Would I be better served purchasing something in the range of a 650Ti Boost or spending $300 on a HD 7950 in an effort to extend the useful life of the PC? Also, do you have any recommendations regarding card manufacturers? (The last high end card I purchased was the Radeon 9800 Pro a decade ago so I am out of touch when it comes to GPUs)
