Should someone suggest something to others knowing they would never do that thing themselves?

If I personally wouldn't buy a used notebook, is it morally correct of me to suggest it to someone else?

Why or why not?

Thanks!

Well, to be honest, being able to show no bias is a good thing for one.
Listening and understanding other peoples needs and or desires is also good.

Theres two good reasons to do so

Just because what you choose may not be an option is no reason for another person to not explore that option.

There are some products I would never buy new and there are also some products that I would never buy a generic version of. But for friends of mine, the new or generic version is what they opted for because it fit their needs.

I don't morals have much to do with this. But, I think it would be "morally incorrect" to not make the other person aware of all options available to them.
