I'd like to spend around $200-400 on a monitor that meets the following "criteria":

- Minimal/no light bleed
- best res:$ ratio (x1080 totally fine; don't need x1440 or x1200 but hey)
- if put through typical Tom's HW review, would perform well (namely uniformity, contrast, black/white, etc. - like the ViewSonic vx2770smh sort of did, if you follow)

PREFERRED:
- glossy
- VESA

BONUS:
- Displayport
- stock base/stand has tilt+height+rotation

Recently bought the Dell S2340M and just could not get over the lower-left light bleed (exchanged twice).

Your advice is sincerely appreciated! Looking to pick something up very soon. Thank you!

Yeah TN or IPS - really doesn't matter at the moment. However, the biggest concern is that backlight bleed is absolutely at a minimum.

And I'd truly prefer glossy.
