New Motherboard,higher cpu temp,bad board?

hi all,yesteriday i installed my new msi 970A-G46 motherboard.and for some reason my cpu temps are much higher,iv reapplied paste twice now also repositioned the cpu etc.im getting 85c on full load with prime95.wondering if theres something wrong with sensors as well as its reporting 14.960 v on the 12v in programs like e leet and cpuid.the volts are fine in the bios though.also when i use msis oc genie my 7th and 8th core stop working in prime95 with errors.do i have a bad board?

AMD FX 8350 4 ghz stock (Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro cooler)
8 GB vengeance LP 1600 mhz 1 stick
MSI 970A-G46

What voltage is your BIOS displaying? (VCore)

Note that your CPU cooler isn't the best, it's just a step above the stock cooler.

Also, what thermal paste did you use, and how much did you apply?

vcore is 1.400
thermal paste is coolermaster E1 ic essential
just a pea size.iv done it a few times and still no luck,unless iv broke the cooler when i removed it somehow :S i have 4 case fans,front,side,back and top.mite try the stock cooler and see if its better lol
