Hello,

I live in Portugal. I can get this configuration:

Nox Nova (NXNOVA) 21.9€
Corsair Builder CX430W (CP-9020046-EU) 39,90€
ASROCK FM2A75M-DGS 59,50€
AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz SkFM2 BE (AD580KWOHJBOX) 118,90€
Gskill Ripjaws X DDR3-1600MHz 2x2GB (F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL) 29,90€
SSD Samsung 2.5" 840 120GB (MZ-7TD120BW) 85,76€

Total~355€~463$~299£

I want to be able to play any game, it's ok if it's only minimum fps and low resolution. My pc monitor is not very good anyway.
But the main purpose is university work, some programming, some heavy programs like cad, a lot of streams on internet, a lot of multitasking...

What do you think? Would you change anything?

My main concern is with ram speed, I think I should get 1866, but I can't find any pack 2x2gb with that speed. Only 2x4gb, but that's too expensive, about 50€. I was told I can overclock the 1600 to 1866, but I'm not really sure if that's possible or how.

Thank you for your time!

Ok, this is a bit embarassing because my monitor is very old.

It's this one.

resolution 1024x768.

But I will buy I new one in less than 6months.

Notice, however, that the main purpose of this computer is not for gaming.

Hi Miguel Lopes!

Take a look at the the benchmark done by BitLabs. Their conclusion:
Summing up these two aspects we see that Socket FM2 platform and Trinity processors have a good chance of taking over a good share of the home systems. Of course, hardcore enthusiasts and dedicated gaming fans will hardly fall in love with this product, but the average mainstream users who enjoy occasional gaming, surf the Web, work with some multimedia content and maybe some relatively simple specific applications may find Trinity an excellent product for their needs.

Regarding ram clock speed, overclocking won't really make that much of a difference in system performance.

Thank you for your contribution! From that description, it seems to serve my purposes!

I only mentioned that about the ram, because I saw this study that states that, mainly to get better graphic performance, we should buy at least 1866.

But do you think the price is fair or you could get the same or equivalent configuration for less money in your country?

Also, do you think 2x2gb is enough, or should I really get 2x4gb?

Thank you again!

Imho, the more ram, the better. Since ram is very cheap nowadays, I'd suggest you go ahead and get the 8GB (2x4GB) option.

I'd say that the price you got for the 2x2GB ram, 29,90€, or US$38.93 is fair.
