so this means we'll soon have 2560x1440 resolutions on our phones, while still stuck with the same resolution on our 27" desktop monitors???
cool chips tho

The Ultra HD televisions are hitting the shelves now, so I'm guessing 3840X2160 monitors will be pretty standard soon. Those 2560X1600 are just a stepping block in my opinion... a bit overpriced for the minor upgrade over regular 1080p at the moment.

That the chip will be capable of it, does not mean phones will make use of it. ARM procs are being integrated into TVs and advertisement media displays now. Even 1080p on a 5" phone is kinda silly, your eyes can't discern any difference at normal usage distances.
Looks like this Snapdragon 800 will be a fair contender for Intel's Clover Trail+ chips. Haha. Just kidding. I'm sure in everyday usage I won't see any difference between both super powerful chips.
Just got an idea though! I'll definetly but the Lenovo K900 then some Snapdragon 800 phone and I'll see xD! Seriously!
