Acer aspire 5315 blank screen?

My Acer 5315 laptop(vista) the screen is completely black when I connect to a monitor it shows everything do I have to buy an LCD screen for my Laptop or would anybody have a answer to this please I tried safe mode as well to try and fix but without joy

You need either to replace the inverter or the LCD screen. Inverter part is a lot cheaper to try first, but labor cost will be about the same.
