I am Looking for a 25-27 inch gaming monitor, I was surprised by the lack of articles I could find on affordable gaming monitors. My price range is $250-$300 and I'm looking for at least a 25 inch monitor. I have found 3 monitors that look good, but I'm not sure which one if any of them i should get.

Out of those, I'd go with the Asus. The other two have a response time of over 5ms and you can start to feel the latency once you go over 5ms. Personally, I wouldn't go with any of them if your price point is around $300. For that, you should definitely be able to pick up a 120 Hz monitor, which makes a big difference in terms of how "smooth" your gameplay will be. Although I don't have a 120Hz monitor as of now, I do plan on picking one up this summer.

I'd recommend this one for around $300: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009222

If you don't care for the 120hz option, you'll be able to find a much better price for a 1080p monitor @60hz for under $200. I have an AOC e2243Fwk. Great 60hz 1080p monitor for only $110.

Ya i think the HP Pavilion 27xi is out, it only has a 1 year warenty, and the Acer G276HLDbd does not have a HDMI port. So the Asus VK278Q looks the best. But do you have any recommendations for a 24 or 25 inch monitor?

That monitor looks great, but im guessing I need a Nivida Gpu to use the 3D aspect of it (I have a 2gb 7870 myst ed) I think ill buy that monitor though :) thanks!

Any reason you need an HDMI port? Except for carrying sound, it has no advantages over DVI...unless you use it with a DVR/DVD player.

I like having one for using my ps3, mostly as a blue-ray player.

kk. Just wanted to make sure you weren't wanting it for something silly.
