how to install hard disk to my new motherboard Asus Maximus II Formula

helloe there.. i have Asus Maximus II Formula, i bought it frm my fren. i install it to my deaktop, but when i run my desktop, it can load operaring system, and he said " no hard disk detect "

Installing from USB or DVD? Is SATA set to IDE or AHCI in BIOS?

hurmmm.. i think i didnt save or make any change at BIOS. but first problem i have, there said fatal error.
and then i power off and then turning on back my cpu. firat it load operating system, and then sudenly restart. after that there pop up " no hard disk detected"

here my hardware.
Asus Maximus II Formula mobo
intel core 2 quad Q9550
and then i use 2 hard disk
my 2TB segate HDD was install operating system
1TB WD Carviar Black was my data hard disk.

any 1 can help me how to solve this?
i use SATA slot 3 for OS, SATA 4 for DATA, SATA 5 for CD ROOM

only CD ROOM was detected when i enterd BIOS

It might be an issue with the 2 TB HDD. Can you test it in a different PC?

yes. b4 this i use thiss hdd on my old pc. working good. nothing problem.
