my laptop cant functioning well

Here my situation, my laptop run very slow and sometimes it took me an hour to get into the window, with every single click on my files or any single click for future activities, i have to wait quite a long time to access it, i suspect it is the hardware problem ( just my guessing may be is the hard disk problem), is there any way to find out whether is the hard disk problem or may be others hardware having problem?

i had tried reformat my laptop and the problem cant be solved, that why i think it is not the software problem.

It possibly could be your hard drive. But my thinking is that it is your processor or memory. If your processor is low-end, it's obviously going to be slow. For your memory, if you have low amounts of it, it's going to be hard to open windows or multiple windows.
