I found this dead project by gigabyte where you plug the card into pci, add in 4 1gb ddr ram sticks and BAM you get blazing fast (sata 1.5) speeds. When I make my build in the near future it is going to have a haswell cpu...which drops support for pci! Can I buy http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815158165 and then just thow the i-ram on top (ignoring for the moment the impossibility of a massive card not fitting in a standard slot)?

I really don't want to go out of my way buying one of these, with an adapter, and then just have it not work.

i don't know why you would bother with i-ram, it's outdated, sorry, very outdated. It's been surpassed by sata II and the max storage of the iram was what 4gigs?. If you do decide that you want this old fashioned "ssd" i wouldnt recommend it with an adapter considering the weight of the i-ram card and the bracket you would need to make to attach it.
