Right now I have a Radeon HD 6870 and the rest of my specs are below in my sig. Is this Video card becoming out of date? If it is what is the best video card I can get for around $200-300? If not is there anything else I should update on my Computer?

There are a lot of new games coming out that recommend the Radeon 6950 or higher, so your card isn't bad but an upgrade would probably do you a lot of good. I have seen a lot of Radeon 7950's for $300 lately with 2 free games and a $20 rebate card. I would recommend that if you want to spend $300, but if you want to spend only $200, then the gtx 660 would be best and it comes with a pre order card for Metro Last Night.

You have a pretty decent card already. If you want to upgrade, the best card in your range is the 7950. The best priced card in your range would be the 7870xt.

I'm not the expert but the Nvidia GTX 660 ti has a very high rating in Futuremark and 3DMark. Also, the top 660 ti was a recommended model MaximumPC Magazine in the Spring 2013 issue. So get the GTX 660 ti. It's worth it.It blends perfectly with i5s ( 280 dollars I believe) (445 British pounds)

The 660ti is good too but the 7950 is a little faster, and when overclocked it's a lot faster. Synthetic benchmarks aren't always accurate. For example, passmark ranks the gtx 680 as being better than the 7970 in their benchmarking software, but in real gaming the 7970 wins by a little bit. Tomshardware has a hierarchy chart that shows the gtx 670 and 7950 are about the same, but the 670 is more expensive.
