Doesn't Tom's have sites for specific countries like Germany, US, etc? It seems like it would be beneficial to have an India site because we get so many questions from there and we don't usually have all the info on the best sites to buy from and what the current prices are there? They have a lot of fine IT people there (I know because they outsourced my network admin job from Texas to there several years ago). Is this a good idea?

It'll be the same site. Similar to the UK one. So it doesn't matter what subdomain you post in. We'll all see the same thread.

How do all the posts in German get filtered out?

The two english sites are (more or less) the same, but the other localisations are entirely separate. I suppose the reason they don't have an Indian site is because they have no Indian staff to run it. They'd need news and editorial staff, or at the absolute bare minimum a bunch of translators to copy articles from the other sites.

Well, plus, English is a considerably large language in India, and most of the folks in India already use this site as their home for tech on the web.

Well, that's OK, it just causes a little confusion about purchasing sites and money exchange rates. Thanks for your explanation. I have many Indian friends and respect them very much.
