Computer stops all processing but components keep running

So I recently reformatted my computer. After installing windows again I experienced this problem where after a few minutes (anywhere from 2 to 20) the computer just stops basically. I lose audio and video signals and fans slow down (my gpu fans are turned up) but all the hardware keeps running.

I saw one forum post that resulted in a guy getting a new PSU and it solved his issue, however I have a really high end Antec 750w and I do not believe that is the issue.

Comp Specs:
mobo: sabertooth x58
CPU: i7 960
PSU: Antec Earthwatts 750w http://www.frys.com/product/7263773
Hard Drive: 1tb WD (swapped it with a 500gb WD and same issue is present)
Do not remember my RAM off the top of my head

Have you tried pulling a stick of ram at a time and see if it behaves any differently?
