Old mice and new computers...

can I get an adapter for my serial mouse?
I dont have a round port on my laptop but I want to use a mouse with that connector. Do ALL adapter work or is there a chance if I buy one they still wont speak to each other?

USB -> PS/2 adapter. I've not had one yet that didn't work. Haven't used on in a while, though.

Newegg has many
