Windows 8 installation

Ok so I built my first computer and I have my first problem. When I put my windows 8 into the disc drive and tell the BIOS to boot from the disc drive it won't recognize the dis in the drive and start installing. It just keeps directing me back to the BIOS

Probably missing another setting in BIOS, apart from Boot Order, some BIOS/UEFI need to set up individual disks to enable them as Boot devices. List your Mobo...

Should work, but this is what others have tried when having Boot problems - Disable Secure Boot, use Legacy BIOS, try SATA in IDE instead of AHCI mode... Suspect your Installation disk...Check all drives are recognised, inc. DVD drive.
