It has been more then 5 years since I built a computer so I'm fairly out of the loop on the current product lines.

I'm needing to build a work computer. Both my wife and I work from home. We have the following requirements:

24 hour use.

Dual Monitors

Multiple programs running at the same time 10+

Capabilities to run simultaneously:
Video 1080p (YouTube)
Skype (chat/phone/video/screen share)
Google Hangout
VOIP software

I have available for use:
Optical drive (SATA)
Hard Disk 1TB & 2TB (SATA)

I'm not looking to build a gaming PC although video will be used. We mostly use thin clients accessing remote server information and web based programming tools. Along with constant VOIP running along side video chats and screen sharing/remote desktop. I'm guessing I will need at least 4 cores & 8 GB Ram. I would like to stay under $1000 including monitors.
