Hi, im noob... I am building my first computer and was wondering what is the best gpu i can buy for around 250$.

I've been researching but since there are so many different brands i wanted to know which one was hands down the best.

Also these are the parts that i am buying so far...

NZXT Source 220 CA-SO220-01 Black Steel / Aluminum-like finish ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 49.99$

CORSAIR CX500M 500W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply 69.99$

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R 62.99$

MSI Z77A-G41 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS 89.99$

Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I53570K 219.99$

- So all im missing is the best gpu i can get for around 250$... (or less)

Also i dont care about diffrent brands as long as they are reliable and suit my needs...

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated in this matter.

Thanks.

Get a 660ti on sale or a 7870xt/7870le. The xt/le cards are 7930s basically. Just a crippled version of the 7950. Really good bang for the buck from what I hear.

Wow thank you for your time! this is a great article and i think i can make up my mind now... Thank you!

A few other points before you make a final decision:
1 No Noob could spec a system that well ;).
2 Check the reviews of any card you have in mind, this is particularly important if you want a quiet system: Not all coolers are created equal.
3 For a gaming rig it is very useful to get the most powerful card you can afford at build time, putting a lower card in a potent rig is counterproductive-you'll just need to upgrade sooner and it will not give its best performance from day one.
4 If you can wait, Nvidia are-according to the Internet Rumour Mill-close to releasing their next generation of cards, you might want to hold fire and see what they bring to the table.
