Having a problem with my graphics card (ATI 6770 1GB DDR5) So when my computer starts it start from DVI Output into windows 7 loads up until the blue screen with Welcome on it. just before it reaches that stage it stops working.

I have reinstalled chipset drives into the motherboard, and tried installing the graphics card drivers however the same problem still occurs. I reset the motherboard bios to default settings meaning it should use the graphics card out but this did nothing. I have had the actual graphics card checked and it works fine.

I can only get VGA output from it and this is really bugging me as i cant play games without the installed graphics card.

Also the Wireless LAN Card sits below it on the PCI Slot and that works fine, just nothing from the PCI-E.

Here are all my system specs.

ASUS M5A78LM L-X (motherboard)

ATI 6770 1GB DDR5 (Graphics)

8GB DDR3 (Ram)

AMD FX-6100 3.3GHz (CPU)

500GB SATA HDD (Hard Drive)

RALINK 802.11 Wireless LAN Card (PCI Slot)

And a bog standard DVD-R Drive

PSU - 650W ACE standard PSU

Any suggestions or fixes greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
