unable to connect ps3 hdmi to dvi of LG W2243T monitor = black screen

i am connecting my ps3 super slim to LG W2243T monitor via hdmi to dvi-d (using dvid adaptor), but there is a black screen, many times i reset the ps3 by pressing the button for 5 secs, but in vain. plz help out. i m getting insane

There used to be a rumour about copy protection security built into devices outputting hdmi to dvi. Try using the update software feature in your PS3 with your old t.v. / monitor and see if it helps.
