fixing my samsung tv

I have a Samsung PS43E490B1K plasma TV. I was watching when suddenly the set turned the volume down and then up again. Then the volume icon started displaying permanently on the set with the light blinking as if i am pressing the control. I cannot do anything to the set since it does not respond to the remote control or the power button on the set. I cannot turn the tv off unless directly through the main switch. I took the set to the dealer i bought from but when we tested it , it worked fine. i brought it back home and it still doing the same thing.

could be a capacitor. Open the back of your tv and check if any of the capacitors are blown. When they stop working, you can see that they are bulged from the top while the rest are flat. Also sometimes, they ooze out a black liquid. If thats the case, then you need to replace it.

Ok thanks waisodim. My set is still under warranty so i will take it to the service center for a qualified tech to service it.
