Is it me or is there a lot of advertising or spam lately on articles?

Hello, I read through a few of Tom's Hardware article comments, and there seems to be an increasing amount of spam/advertising of getting money in the last month or so. Things like "My friend earns $1000 a month on his laptop!" and "check out this website, it will tell you how to earn $4200 a month on your laptop!" Etc, etc, etc. I reported what I could and some have been removed. (I know the moderators are doing their best).

It took a while for the spammer hordes to acclimate to our new forum platform. Your community moderators here and I engage in a constant war with them, gaining and losing ground as time progresses. We have been winning the war for a long time now, which has helped lead to the rapid growth of our community numbers - but I fear their techniques have evolved. We will endeavor to attack them more fiercely in the coming weeks. Be sure to make ample use of that "Report abuse" link to notify the mod team of any spam you see.
