Its only worth buying a computer when your talking extreme low end, not the high end.
Whatever computer you can find for $3300 is no doubt a massive ripoff. If your just after gaming performance, than you don't need to spend more than $1500 for a top of the line rig.

Yeah I agree - a 3970X and a Titan would be a massive ripoff for a single GPU computer. This would be what I would build if I had that kind of cash for a system:
