Hi everyone,
I recently built this rig:
MSI FM2-A75IA-E53
A6 5400K
Crucial Ballistix 8GB 1600MHz CL8 DDR3 ram
be quiet system power 300w
2x Samsung 840 120gb SSD (one for os and main apps and one for games).

this rig isn't bad, but I can't play battlefield 3 even on low settings (I can play other games - singleplayer mode - at 1080p). Well, I don't really want to buy all components again, so I just want to upgrade the CPU to the A10 6800K soon to be released and to G.Skill TridentX 16gb 2400MHz CL10 DDR3 ram. I will buy the 2 ram sticks tonight if the upgrades I intend to do will actually bring a noticeable overall performance increase... but if not I'll go for an AM3+ build (Asus Sabertooth 990fx rev2.0, fx 6300...) but you know, the cheaper the better.

either way, the current cpu and ram I will use for a new HTPC.. for movies and other stuff this apu is awesome... does what you want it to pretty well...

so how better will my rig perform with the A10 6800K and 2400mhz ram?

You are trying to play BF3 on the integrated GPU ? That is you problem, BF3 is one of the most intensive games ever. and to plat it you definitely need a decent graphics card. The integarated graphics in the APU's is really impressive for general use and light gaming but still nowhere near good enough to be considered an actualy gaming solution. Also upgrading from that dual core will help you in a lot of games but first things first you really need to pick up a good graphics card.

If I am not mistaken the Radeon HD 7540d is less powerful than the Intel HD 4000. The Intel HD 4000 is about 90% the performance of a desktop Radeon HD 5550.

The A10-5800k's Radeon HD 7660D is maybe 10% - 15% more powerful than a Radeon HD 5570; which is less powerful than a Radeon HD 6570.

The upcoming Radeon HD 8670D in the A10-6800k has been estimated to be 20% - 40% more powerful than the Radeon HD 7660D. On the low end of the estimate it will probably be about equal to a Radeon HD 5670. On the high end it will probably be half way in between the Radeon HD 5670 and Radeon HD 6670. Obviously better than Radeon HD 5570, but it's performance may not be enough for your expectations.
