I have decided on my build and I am going to order it later today. Please recommend any changes that you think I should make, and whether I should choose the 7970 or 680. I will be using this pc for gaming and recording/editing videos. My budget is $2000 and i will be using www.pccasegear.com to order my parts.

Case: Xigmatek Talon MT
CPU: i7 3770k
Cooler: Corsair H100i
GPU: 7970/680 (please help in choosing which one has best performance and quality)
SSD: Samsung 840 pro 256Gb
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1Tb
Ram: Corsair Vengeance CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3
Motherboard: MSI Z77 MPOWER
Optical Drive: Lite On Blu Ray drive
Power Supply: Corsair TX-850M (850w, as I will be crossfiring later this year)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Any opinions and help is appreciated. :)

Here's a build that will suit your needs, without spending so much. Sorry i cant make list on site as i don't have an account , but here's a pic of build

My advice is, if you're serious about that game recording, you're better off getting a video capturing device, that way game and recording program, don't tax your GPU both at the same time , so while the device captures video, your gpu can put it full resources to provide better fps, so you video later look smoother overall. Here's the link from the site http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1141

Switch the Case to a $100 one that you like (Corsair 500R, Fractal R4, Antec)

Up RAM to 16GBs

I would stick with the i7 for a $2000 build

If you want to OC a lot get the D14 CPU cooler, if not stick with the Hyper.

If you plan to SLI/CF get a 750W PSU

I would switch GPU to a 7970 Ghz edition
