September last year i set about building my gaming computer.

I bought a barebones bundle from Novatech that came with:
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 motherboard
8gb 1333mhz Spectek ram
AMD FX 8120 CPU
AMD CPU fan
and a 750w ATX power supply

separate parts include:
Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 650 2gb
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
OCZ 120gb SSD
Sony disk drive
and windows 7 64bit

anyway... On the front panel of the case, 2x Usb 3.0 ports, 2x Usb 2.0 ports, 1x eSATA ports, 1x mic and 1x headphone

on the inside of the case, for the USB 3.0 I have a long 20pin cable, but there is no where on the motherboard for it to plug in to!

I saw a video on YouTube of the GA-970A-DU3 that clearly has a 20pin port, but my GA-970A-DS3 doesn't?

does anyone know if there is one and I'm just being blind? Or is there a cable I'll need to buy to plug it in?

Thanks in advance

No, it doesn't:
The internal ports:
1. 1 x 24-pin ATX main power connector
2. 1 x 4-pin ATX 12V power connector
3. 6 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors
4. 1 x CPU fan header
5. 2 x system fan headers
6. 1 x power fan header
7. 1 x front panel header
8. 1 x front panel audio header
9. 1 x S/PDIF Out header
10. 3 x USB 2.0/1.1 headers
11. 1 x Clear CMOS jumper

2 USB 3.0 at the back ports.
I guess that this cable would work: http://www.amazon.com/USB-Front-Panel-Motherboard-Cable/dp/B00931NWH0

I see no such model listed for GA-970A-DU3. Perhaps you are referring to the GA-970A-D3 and the 20-pin Trusted Platform Module (TPM) header. Some of the better motherboard models include both USB internal headers:
3 x USB 2.0/1.1 headers
1 x USB 3.0/2.0 header

The model GA-970A-DS3 doesn't include the internal USB 3.0/2.0 header, but has a rear panel connector for USB 3.0/2.0.
