bios version for motherboard

Well recently I got the asus m5a97 le r2.0 and my fx 6300 is on its way I just wanted to know if there was a way to check the bios version before turning it on, it says on the board rev 1.00would that be enough for the FX 6300

There is no way to check bios version without stating pc. That CPU is supported by default on that motherboard. Anyway if the processor is not supported then the system simply won't run. This won't cause any damage to the system or cause any other problems.
