From what I know, if a motherboard has an LGA 1155 socket, it supports every CPU with LGA 1155 socket, the amount of cores dosn't matter

For a motherboard to support a CPU what you need to check is the socket type supported by that motherboard. Each CPU has a socket defined for it, as an example AMD Fx series uses AM3+ socket, so any motherboard that has an AM3+ socket will support FX series, no matter what the number of cores is. AMD's FX series of CPU has from 4 to 8 cores and even the most basic AM3+ socket motherboards like Asus M5a78L and Gigabyte GA-78LMT support the full series of FX CPUs like FX 4100 (4 core), FX6300 (6 Cores) and FX 8350 (8 Cores).

Your CPU AMD Athlon II X4 631 has a socket of type FM1

And the motherboard you are asking about ASUS F1A75-V also has FM1 socket

So yes it will support that CPU, in future use the same rule to check compatibility.
